TSS W sc Turbidity and Suspended Solids Immersion Probe with Wiper, Stainless Steel
The TSS W sc is a digital process probe with wiper for the extremely accurate measurement of turbidity and suspended solids in open basins and channels in the industrial sector. It is installed by tank-side mounting and can measure both on-line suspended solids and turbidity in one instrument. The two channel 90° scattered light turbidity method is in accordance with DIN EN ISO 7027. For the determination of suspended solids a scattered light measurement method at 120 ° is integrated. This eight channel measurement system, with an integrated bubble and temperature compensating software, enables the instrument to have a wide measuring range that effectively covers most applications, from the darkest pre-treated water to the freshest of spring waters. A proven automatic wiper cleaning system allows sustained performance quality. The TSS sc probes are compatible with the Hach SC200 and SC1000 controller platform. Furthermore, they are made of polished stainless steel with a scratch resistant and easy to clean sapphire window design to withstand harsh environments.

TSS sc probes have a double optical system with two pulsating infrared LEDs and four receivers. This combined multiple beam alternating light method with beam focusing facilitates accurate color independent measurement of turbidity and suspended solids.
Special software enables the system to recognize gas bubbles or temperature swings for a more accurate suspended solids or turbidity measurement.
The turbidity measurement complies with the standard DIN EN 27027 (ISO 7027). Calibration is not necessary. If the probe is used to measure the solids content, a one-point calibration suffices. For special applications, curves can be defined using several calibration points.
Probes are made of highly polished stainless steel with a scratch resistant sapphire window. They are design to withstand harsh environments and keep particles from sticking to the surface.
Measurement data is displayed and processed with the help of a digital Hach SC200 or SC1000 controller.
